Resources HR AdministratorManager Organizational Questions How does a CEO/Director of the company enter Merit increases for department heads? Every manager in the company will use the My Team page to enter merit increases for their direct reports. If you need to enter merit increases for employees within your reporting structure but who do not report to you directly, simply find their manager in the hierarchy on the My Org page or search for them in the Search bar, and click on his/her name. This will take you to that manager’s My Team page and allow you to act on their behalf. What do I do if I have an employee who has left the company? While this is not a common situation during the merit planning cycle, it can occur. Your HR Administrator has the ability to reflect the termination directly in SimplyMerit. If the terminated employee remains in the application, you may simply ignore that person or ask that your HR Administrator change his/her salary to zero (0) so that it doesn’t impact the merit budget. These rules are optional but will cause the Merit Amount to be prorated. When such a proration exists, SimplyMerit will display the Proration Percent on the My Team page.
